Eola Crest Cattle Local Farm-Raised Beef

Our quality Angus beef is born and raised on our family farm in McMinnville, Oregon.

With over 60 mama cows, the majority of our cattle are born and raised on our farm just minutes from downtown McMinnville. If we ever need to buy steers they are purchased from only two other ranchers here locally that we have known for years through the Oregon Angus Association. Our cattle are fed a mostly grass diet. Our steers do get a minimal amount of grain. It is approximately a third of what traditional feed lot steers get. And because we work with a nutritionist and make our own grain mix, we know the quality going into it. Our cows have access to pastures spring through fall. But because of our many years of dairy farming, we have great big barns that they have access to year round. In the wet winter months, we bring them inside. This allows our pastures to rest and to reduce soil erosion from wet weather. They enjoy the cool barns as well during hot summer months.

 

The combination of our angus genetics for carcass traits such as rib-eye size, as well as marbling with a minimal amount of quality grain, and dry aging, creates this amazing combination that results in a tender, mouthwatering bite of beef that we know our customers will enjoy.
